Mountshannon Celtic - 0

Bridge United A - 4

Fahy, Quinlan 2, Corry

Bridge United A took their place in the last 8 of this years cup competition with a convincing but hard fought win in Scariff on Sunday morning.

The home side should have opened the scoring on 10 minutes when William Glass squared for Patrick Fitzgerald but his effort went wide of the post from close range.

Bridge took the lead on 20 minutes when Tadgh Keogh threw the ball into the feet of Fahy who turned and scored from a tight angle. Carr and Corry were linking up very well in the final third but failed to add to the scoresheet before the break.

Quinlan added the second on 55 minutes following a great Carr ball over the top, Quinlans first touch was excellent before dinking the ball over the outrushing Eanna Doyle in the Mountshannon nets.

Quinlan added his second when he converted a Brian Corry cross on 69 minutes. The visitors made it 4 on 80 minutes following some great work from Carr on the end line to go around 2 defenders before squaring to Corry to tap home from 6 yards.
