A first half header by Kieran Quinlan and a Derek Fahy screamer secured last years finalists route to the last 16 of this years competition in LIT on Sunday morning.

Quinlan opened the scoring on 20 minutes when Fahy effort from close range was well saved by the the Manus keeper but as the ball popped up Quinaln was hand to head home the opener.

Despite dominating the possession the premier league side breached the Manus defense on just one more occasion and it was a special strike from Fhy that finished off the tie as a contest.

Andy Russell delivered a quality ball from the right which was partially cleared by the Manus defence. However the ball fell to Derek Fahy who rifled the ball to the top right corner of the net from 20 yards.

With Bridge United A safely through to the last 16 focus now turns to Bridge United B who play Moher Celtic B in the round of 32 next Sunday. The game will take place in Sixmilebridge at 2pm on Sunday.
